Sadly I didn't find news or translation of one important finding in Iceland - children rarely infect adults (or each other) with Covid, it's the adults that infect children.

No new case of COVID-19 was confirmed in Iceland today, according to covid.is. Therefore, the total number of confirmed cases stands at 1,807.

Three active cases of the disease remain, but no COVID-19 patient is hospitalized. Since May 1, only nine cases of the disease have been confirmed in the country. Eight of those were people who at the time of testing were not already in quarantine, but 57 percent of people who have tested positive in Iceland were already in quarantine when diagnosed.

A total of 62,911 people have been tested for the disease in Iceland, representing more than 17 percent of the nation. Quarantine has been completed by 21,469 people, and 812 people are still in quarantine. A total of ten people have died of the disease in Iceland.

When the country reopens its borders June 15, arriving travelers will have the option of being tested for the virus at the airport instead of spending 14 days in quarantine. They will be asked to download the app Rakning C-19, which helps authorities trace the source of transmission.

Three new local cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in Iceland yesterday, according to covid.is. Among those diagnosed yesterday is the one-year-old child of an Icelandic woman who tested positive for the coronavirus after arriving from Albania 11 days ago.

In addition, two people tested positive for the virus at the border, but it is not yet known whether those two cases are active. Until the results are in, the individuals are in isolation.

At present, there are 13 active cases of the disease in Iceland, and 438 people are in quarantine. The total number of confirmed cases stands at 1,855.

K?ri Stef?nsson announced that he intends to withdraw from coronavirus screening in Iceland. In an open letter to Katr?n Jakobsd?ttir, K?ri blames both her and Svand?s Svavarsd?ttir for disrespecting him, V?sir reports.

“As of today, July 6th, we will discontinue all communications with the Chief Epidemiologist and Surgeon Medical Officer,” the statement read in part. The last samples that the Icelandic Genetic Analysis (?E) will analyse will be the ones that arrive on Monday, July 13th.
