Bird flu: New case affects 250K birds in Franklin County

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Iowa —

The highly contagious bird flu continues to grow in Iowa.

The United States Department of Agriculture now reports a case in Franklin County. It affects 250,000 birds in a commercial flock of chickens.

That brings the total to seven different outbreaks in five counties...
