A case of avian influenza has been confirmed in Ida County.
According to agriculture officials, the affected site is a commercial turkey flock. This marks the first confirmed case of bird flu in an Ida County flock this year.
There have now been 30 flocks infected with bird flu in Iowa this year, with 11 of them during the fall season. Since last Friday, a total of approximately 240-thousand turkeys have been infected between turkey farms in Ida, Buena Vista, Sac, and Cherokee Counties...
