"Hot" telephone line on issues related to avian influenza, from September 1, 2008 will become operational in Ukraine, the agency transferred KID. The telephone number for which it will be possible to communicate any information relating to the virus or suspicion to him, ─ 8-800-503-55-00. The line will operate from Monday to Friday, from 10.00 to 17.00. Calls free. "Hotline" will be in effect until October 1, 2009
"Hotline" was called the project "Provision of technical assistance for rapid response to avian influenza in Ukraine." He sold the American public organization "International aid and development, Ink" (IRD) with financial support from the U.S. Agency for International Development in Ukraine, Moldova and Belarus (USAID). In addition to the Kharkiv region project will be implemented in Crimea, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Transcarpathian, Zaporozhye, Lugansk, Nikolaev, Odessa, Poltava, Sumy, Kherson, Cherkasy and Chernihiv regions.

In late January 2008 in s.Rovno Krasnogvardeyskogo Crimea region has been identified hotbed of highly pathogenic avian influenza (type A subtype H5 N1).
