12 Cases of Monkeypox Confirmed in Hungary, All Patients in Quarantine

There are now 12 confirmed cases of monkeypox in Hungary, the National Public Health Centre (NNK) informed MTI on Friday. The majority of infected are men living in Budapest, with the youngest being 28 years old and the oldest 43 years old.

Over the past few days which the NNK’s National Security Laboratory has been following the development of the monkeypox outbreak in Hungary for, six new cases have been recorded. The total number of official cases is now twelve.

The general condition of the infected does not require any hospital care, they have all remained in quarantine in their own homes, the NNK explained. Regional epidemiological authorities have been conducting contact tracing examinations on the infected...
