It may be useful, for those of us who are trying to sort through all of the news, to have a thread devoted to reports of patients who are hospitalized with suspected flu. Most people are treated at home-the hospitalized patients will be severe cases. Tracking this on one thread may help us figure out how severely this flu is affecting people.
This news of two students in a high school in the state of Washington being hospitalized in the intensive care unit with suspected flu raised a red flag for me:

SEATTLE (AP) - Six schools in Washington have closed as a precaution against the spread of swine flu.
The latest was Lakes High School in Lakewood this morning because three students were taken to Madigan Army Medical Center last night with flu symptoms. Two are in intensive care in serious condition.
FL - is there a thread anywhere that deals with the symptoms involved in the actual cases where a fatality was involved? That is becoming an issue of great confusion. I consider myself a pretty good researcher, but the glut of news media manipulation, rumour, unsubstantiated quotes etc is mind boggling, and is becoming impossible to weed through. I hear rumour / stories / blogs from physicians/nurses suggesting "Cytokine Storm" like deaths similar to those in 1918 that involved the healthy middleagers - but as far as i am concerned, I'm not seeing any substantive facts backing that up. A thread on that topic would be helpful, if one doesn't already exist. I think that is an important unknown at this point.
