It comes after authorities said tests could not conclusively prove it was the H1N1 virus.
Doctors insist that their tests prove the man did die of swine flu.
It sent a sample to the National Institute for Communicable Diseases to confirm the diagnosis but that sample was insufficient.
The man was initially admitted to ICU after he presented with pneumonia.
His doctor then had him tested for the H1N1 virus because he had visited Swaziland approximately thee weeks before his death.
