Hong Kong reports today three new fatalities caused by influenza:

A 55 year-old male patient with a history of nasopharyngeal cancer attended the Accident & Emergency Department of TMH for flu symptoms on August 30 and was admitted to the isolation ward. His condition deteriorated on the same day and he was transferred to the Intensive Care Unit. He was prescribed Tamiflu and antibiotics. The test result for human swine influenza was confirmed positive on August 31. He was in critical condition requiring ventilation support and was prescribed Relenza. His condition continued to deteriorate and he succumbed at 3.47pm today (September 3).

(...) hospital records showed that a 94-year-old female patient with chronic disease was admitted to Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital for fever on 28 August. She was later confirmed positive for Influenza A (H3) and died on 1 September.
Another case is a 75-year-old male patient with chronic disease who was admitted to United Christian Hospital on 23 August. He was confirmed Influenza A (H3) on 24 August and died today (3 September).
