influenza-like illness (ILI) among sentinel general
outpatient clinics (GOPCs) was 3.9 ILI cases per
1,000 consultations.
在第40 週，定點普通科診所呈報的流感樣病例個
案平均數為3.9 宗 (每千個診症計) (圖一)。

In week 40, the number of influenza viruses detected in the
Public Health Laboratory Centre was 93, including 72 influenza
A (H3) viruses, 19 influenza B viruses and 2 influenza A viruses.

In week 41 and the first 4 days of week 42 (Oct 9 to 12, 2011), there was no new report of oseltamivir (Tamiflu) resistant human swine influenza infection. There are totally 16 reports of resistance to Tamiflu in strains of human swine influenza virus detected in Hong Kong since 2009.

Surveillance of severe paediatric influenza-associated complication/death

In week 1, there were no new reports of severe paediatric influenza-associated complication/death. In thefirst 4 days of week 2 (Jan 8 to 11, 2012), one case of severe paediatric influenza-associatedcomplication involving a 2-year-old boy was reported. He had developed high fever and convulsion. Hisnasopharyngeal aspirate specimen was tested positive for influenza B. He is now in stable condition.

The Centre for Health Protection has collaborated with the Hospital Authority and private hospitals to monitor influenza associated intensive care unit (ICU) admission and deaths (aged 18 years or above) since Jan 13, 2012. So far, there were two severe cases newly admitted to ICU and one death was reported (as of January 18).
自 1 月 13 日起，衞生防護中心聯同醫院管理局及私家醫院監察入住深切治療部的流感個案與流感相關之死亡個案(年齡為十八歲或以上)的統計數字。截至1月18 日，本中心目前共錄得2宗需入住深切治療部及1 宗死亡個案。

The local influenza activity is expected to increase further during the next few weeks. Target groups are advised to receive influenza vaccinations as soon as possible to protect their health.

In week 2, the number of influenza viruses detected in the Public
Health Laboratory Centre was 131, including 84 influenza B
viruses, 44 influenza A (H3) viruses, 2 influenza A viruses and 1
influenza A(H1N1)2009 virus.
在第 2 週，公共衞生檢測中心共檢測到 131 個流行性感冒病

In week 3, one case of severe paediatric influenza-associated complication involving a 13-year-old boy wasreported. He had developed meningitis. He had been discharged. In the first 5 days of week 4 (Jan 22 to 26, 2012),one case of severe paediatric influenza-associated complication involving a 9-year-old boy was reported. He had developed myocarditis. He is now in stable condition. Both cases had their nasopharyngeal aspirate specimen tested positive for influenza B.

As of Feb 22, there were 39 cases of influenza associated ICU admissions or deaths in which 23 of them were fatal.
自 2012 年1月 13日起，衞生防護中心聯同醫院管理局及私家醫院監察流感相關而需入住深切治療部或死亡個案(年齡為十八歲或以上)的統計數字。截至 2 月 22 日，本中心目前共錄得 39 宗流感相關而需入住深切治療部或死亡的個案，當中23 宗為死亡個案。
As the winter influenza season is expected to last for a few more weeks, target groups are advised tomake use of the last opportunity to receive influenza vaccinations.

Surveillance of severe paediatric influenza-associated complication/death (Aged above one month and below 18 years)

In week 7, four cases of severe paediatric influenza-associated complication involving two boys and two girls were reported. Their ages ranged from 8 months to 14 years old. They had developed encephalitis or severe pneumonia. One of them had discharged while the others are in stable condition. Their nasopharyngeal aspirate specimens tested positive for influenza B. In the first 4 days of week 8 (Feb 19 to 22, 2012), there were no new reports of severe paediatric influenza-associated complication/death.
第7週有4宗兒童流感相關之嚴重併發症的報告，涉及兩名男童及兩名女童。患者年齡由八個月至十四歲。他們曾出現腦炎或嚴重肺炎症狀。其中一人已出院，其餘三人情況穩定。他們的鼻咽分泌樣本均對乙型流感呈陽性反應。第8週的首4天(2012年2月19至22日)沒有兒童流感相關之嚴重併發症/死亡個案的報告。

From Feb 22, 2012, 12:00 noon to Feb 29, 2012, 12:00 noon, 10 cases of influenza associated ICU admissions or deaths were recorded, in which 6 of them were fatal. In addition, one previously reported case who required ICU admission passed away during this reporting period.
2012年2月22日中午12時至2012年2月29日中午12時期間共錄得10宗與流感相關而需入住深切治療部或死亡的個案，當中6宗為死亡個案。另外，有1宗早前報告與流感相關而需入住深切治療部的個案在此報告期間死亡。

In week 8, one case of oseltamivir (Tamiflu) resistant influenza A(H1N1)2009 virus infection involving a 6-month-old boy was reported. He is now in severe condition. The virus strain detected was sensitive to zanamivir (Relenza). In first 4 days of week 9 (Feb 26 to 29, 2012), there were no new reports of oseltamivir (Tamiflu) resistant influenza A(H1N1)2009 virus infection. There are totally 17 reports of resistance to Tamiflu in strains of influenza A(H1N1)2009 virus detected in Hong Kong since 2009.
第8週有1宗甲型(H1N1)2009流感病毒對奧司他韋（特敏福）呈抗藥性個案，涉及一名六個月大男嬰。他現時情況嚴重。個案中所檢測的病毒株沒有對扎那米偉（樂感清）出現抗藥性。第9週的首4天(2012年2月26至29日)沒有新的甲型(H1N1)2009流感病毒對奧司他韋（特敏福）呈抗藥性個案。自2009年至今，本港共有17宗甲型(H1N1)2009流感病毒對特敏福出現抗藥性的個案。
