The latest surveillance data showed that the overall influenza activity (including seasonal influenza and human swine influenza (HSI)) in week 40 (September 26 to October 2, 2010) has decreased when compared to the past few weeks.
最新的監測數據顯示第40週 (二零一零年九月二十六日至十月二日) 整體流感活躍程度 (包括季節性流感及人類豬型流感) 相比過去幾個星期下降了。

There was one new severe HSI case reported in week 40 (September 26 to October 2, 2010). Since May 1, 2009, the Centre for Health Protection (CHP) has recorded a total of 299 severe HSI cases. These severe cases included 181 males and 118 females with ages ranging from 30 days to 95 years (median: 51 years). 第40週 (二零一零年九月二十六日至十月二日) 有1宗新的人類豬型流感嚴重個案的報告。自二零零九年五月一日，衞生防護中心共錄得299宗人類豬型流感的嚴重個案，當中涉及181名男性及118名女性，年齡介乎30日至95歲 (中位數: 51歲)。

There was no new fatal HSI case occurring in week 40 (September 26 to October 2, 2010). CHP has recorded a total of 83 fatal cases since May 1, 2009. These fatal cases included 58 males and 25 females, with ages ranging from 1 to 95 years (median: 55 years). 第40週 (二零一零年九月二十六日至十月二日) 沒有新的人類豬型流感死亡個案發生。自二零零九年五月一日，衞生防護中心共錄得83宗人類豬型流感的死亡個案。當中涉及58名男性及25名女性，年齡介乎1歲至95歲 (中位數: 55歲)。

In week 41, there was no new report of severe paediatric influenza-associated complication/death. In the first 4 days of week 42 (October 10 to 13, 2010), one case of severe paediatric influenza-associated complication involving an 18-month-old boy was reported. His nasopharyngeal and tracheal aspirate specimens were tested positive for influenza A. He is now in stable condition.
第41週沒有新的兒童流感相關之嚴重併發症／死亡個案的報告。第42週的首4天 (2010年10月10日至13日) 有1宗兒童流感相關之嚴重併發症的報告，涉及一名十八個月大男童。他的鼻咽分泌及氣管痰涎樣本對甲型流感呈陽性反應。他現時情況穩定。

The Centre for Health Protection (CHP) has collaborated with the Hospital Authority and private hospitals to monitor influenza associated intensive care unit (ICU) admissions and deaths since January 24, 2011. So far, CHP recorded 82 severe cases, including 12 fatal cases (as of February 16).
自2011年 1月 24日起，衞生防護中心聯同醫院管理局及私家醫院監察入住深切治療部的流感個案及與流感
相關之死亡個案的統計數字。截至2月16 日，本中心目前共錄得82宗嚴重個案，包括12宗死亡個案。

The local influenza activity is expected to remain at a high level during the next few weeks. Target groups are advised to receive influenza vaccinations as soon as possible to protect their health.
本地流感活躍程度預料會在未來數星期維持在高水平。目標組別人士應盡快接種流感疫苗以保障健康。

Surveillance of severe paediatric influenza-associated complication/death
兒童流感相關之嚴重併發症／死亡個案的監測
In week 7, one case of severe paediatric influenza-associated death involving a 7-year-old girl was reported. Her nasopharyngeal swab specimen was tested positive for influenza A(H1N1)2009. In the first 4 days of week 8 (February 13 to 16, 2011), two cases of severe paediatric influenza-associated complication involving a 5-month-old boy and a 1-year-old girl were reported. Their clinical specimens were tested positive for influenza A(H1N1)2009 The boy is now in stable condition while the girl is in serious condition.
第7週有1宗兒童流感相關之死亡個案的報告，涉及一名七歲大女童。她的鼻咽分泌樣本對甲型(H1N1)2009流
感呈陽性反應。第8週的首4天 (2011年2月13至16日) 有2宗兒童流感相關之嚴重併發症的報告，涉及一名五
個月大男童及一名一歲大女童。他們的臨床樣本對甲型(H1N1)2009流感呈陽性反應。男童現時情況穩定，女
童情況則嚴重。
