Hong Kong reported death number 52 by influenza A (H1N1)
Health authorities in Hong Kong reported the death on 29 to number 52 due to influenza A (H1N1).

The case involved an 80-year-old who suffered diabetes, heart disease and hypertension. The patient attended the Accident and Emergency Department of a local hospital on 26 November due to respiratory problems and cough. The next day confirmed it was affected by influenza A (H1N1).

His health improved and then was transferred to another hospital on 18 December and again returned on December 25 because his condition deteriorated again. The patient eventually died on December 27.

At least 11,378 doses of vaccines against influenza A (H1N1) were administered at the Hospital Authority, the Department of Health and private clinics in the last 24 hours till 13:00 hours on Tuesday, bringing to at least 43,675 shots in total applied since the vaccination program began on December 21.
