I write this not because Legionnaire's is a 'pandemic threat'--it usually only affects old people with a long history of smoking and alcohol consumption who breathe in bacteria from old air conditionining units or saunas. Why it is affecting all these young supposedly healthy people all of a sudden in Hong Kong is a mystery to me (and worrisome too for what it may mean is actually going on).

The Centre for Health Protection has confirmed a case of Legionnaires' disease involving a 33-year-old Yuen Long man, the 13th case recorded this year.
He came down with fever, cough and shortness of breath on September 1. He was admitted to Tuen Mun Hospital September 4 and is stable. He has no recent travel history and his family members have no symptoms.
Eleven cases of Legionnaires' disease were reported last year. </td></tr></tbody> </table>
