WOMAN ILL WITH DENGUE FEVER

The Department of Health today confirmed another imported case of Dengue fever, bringing this year's total to 17.
The 40-year-old woman developed a fever, cough, vomiting and diarrhoea on July 10, after returning from Cambodia.
She was admitted to Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital the same day and was discharged on July 15. Her travel companion does not have any symptoms.
People should stay alert to the threat of Dengue fever and take measures against mosquito breeding. Travellers should wear long-sleeved tops and trousers, and use insect repellent. They should see a doctor if they feel sick after returning from abroad.
