Hong Kong: Critical case of human swine influenza at United Christian Hospital (5/14/10)

The spokesperson of United Christian Hospital (UCH) today (May 14) announced a new critical case of human swine influenza (HSI):
A 75-year-old female patient was admitted to a medical ward at UCH via the Accident and Emergency Department on May 10 due to fever and cough. A positive result for HSI was confirmed on May 11. The patient was prescribed Tamiflu, Relenza and antibiotics. She is now in critical condition and requires ventilation support.
The hospital is closely monitoring her condition.
