Honduras overcomes barrier of nine thousand cases of Covid-19
Tegucigalpa, Jun 15 (Prensa Latina) The National Risk Management System announced 320 new cases of Covid-19 today, with which Honduras reached 9,178 infections of the disease caused by the new SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.
The body in charge of managing the health crisis in this country also reported that 10 deaths associated with the pandemic occurred on the day, bringing the number of fatalities from that cause to 322.
With this new update on the number of deaths, the case fatality rate increased to 3.51 percent for every 100 positive cases of the epidemic.
On the other hand, the Sinager reported 58 recovered patients to add a total of thousand 25 people who have already expired the Covid-19.
Meanwhile, the hospitalized rose to 776, of which 464 remain in stable condition, another 258 serious and 54 in intensive care units.
The figures of this Monday keep Honduras as the third nation in the Central American region with the most Covid-19 infections, only behind Panama (+21 thousand) and Guatemala (+10 thousand).
