Viral fever grips Hamirpur

Viral fever has gripped the district. Almost all hospitals of the district are filled to the capacity with patients suffering from viral fever and typhoid. The regional hospital of Hamirpur is packed to capacity and many persons are forced to get them treated outside the house wards as no beds are available for them due to heavy rush of patients.
Dr PR Katwal, chief medical officer, admitted that there was heavy rush of people suffering from viral fever and typhoid in the district. He said consumption of dirty and unfiltered drinking water was the root cause of the disease. He advised people to boil water before drinking.
