  • An intensified surveillance in accordance with the OIE Terrestrial Animal Health Code was carried out during a three-month period when the H5N2 case was detected.
  • The clinical and epidemiological investigations of surrounding farms within a 3-km radius of the index layer farm have been finished.
  • One laying duck farm had been identified as H5N2 subtype of LPAI and reported to the OIE on 27 April 2012.
  • No other NAI case was observed or detected around the index farm.
  • According to the aforementioned information, it demonstrates that this H5N2 avian influenza outbreak in Changhua County is resolved.
