    • The active clinical surveillance has been conducted in affected regions starting April 2012.
    • The total poultry populations of 7,500 farms under surveillance covered backyard poultry, broilers, layers, breeder chickens, ducks and poultry in wet markets were examined and found clinically healthy.
    • No evidence of clinical HPAI infection was observed.
    • Three months have therefore elapsed since the last outbreak occurred in March 2012.
    • In accordance with Article 10.4.4. of the OIE Terrestrial Animal Health Code, Chaung U and Taungoo Township areas are no longer considered HPAI infected zones.
    • Myanmar declares that it has regained its HPAI free status based on active surveillance.
