PACHUCA (Notimex) .- The state governments follow the programs to prevent and combat the H1N1 influenza and dengue fever, which affected mainly in the north.

In Hidalgo, the Health Ministry assured that the State is free from this evil.

Sectoral Relations Director of the department, Israel Mendoza, reported that so far this year the agency has reported only 20 cases of seasonal influenza.

"The last case was registered and attended the May 21, 2010. Today we have less than 20 cases of seasonal influenza," he said. "We got in late last year, the shipment of vaccines to manage (550,000 doses) and were assigned to the state."

Lopez Mendoza added that these vaccines have been applied to all risk groups as morbidly obese, elderly, patients with asthma or lung diseases, and children six to 24 months of age.

On May 11, 2009, the outbreak of the global epidemic, Hidalgo was the second worst affected country.
