HHS Announces HRSA Health Centers Deliver Record-Breaking Care to More Than 32.7 Million Patients

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) today marked National Health Center Week by announcing that Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA)-funded health centers served more than 32.7 million patients in 2025 — an increase of more than 350,000 patients from 2024 and the highest number of patients served in the Health Center Program’s 61-year history.​

So I decided to test this for Orange county, Florida.

They are called Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC)​

There are apparently 20ish depending on size.

There are large centers that other a variety of services:

It looks like they all take insurance including medicare and medicaid and they charge for services based on your ability to pay - some kind of sliding scale.

It appears true that the HHS is funding (probably partially) some local community health services.
