Pardee limits visitation due to H1N1 flu
Staff Reports ? September 10, 2009 12:36 PM
HENDERSONVILLE ? Pardee Hospital is limiting visitors to the patient's immediate family or designated support person because of the rising number of H1N1 flu illnesses in the state and in the region.
People are discouraged from visiting if they feel ill or have any flu symptoms such as stuffy nose, headache, coughing and fever. Visitors may be asked to wear a mask if they are exhibiting respiratory symptoms while in the hospital.
Children and teens are strongly discouraged from visiting the hospital due to the higher rates of H1N1 flu among younger people. The hospital is also asking that pastors visiting members of their faith community keep these cautions in mind.
