VANDERBURGH CO., IN (WFIE) - Indiana is requiring more vaccines for school children this year, and local health officials say they are worried.

Officials are comparing the situation to the H1N1 vaccine, which took from October all the way through spring to give out 45,000 doses.

"We're probably talking about a similar number of shots, maybe 45-48,000 shots that have to be given for the children here in Evansville," Vanderburgh Co. Health Dept. spokesperson Dr. Ray Nicholson said. "That's going to take time. So far, people have been putting it off."
