Health authorities confirmed the death of a person by transmission of H1N1 virus in northern Tolima.
The case was filed in La Caba?a, the town of Mariquita and the victim is a woman of 46 years of age, related to teaching, as stated by the health secretary of Tolima, Juan Carlos Basto.
He said from now decreed an epidemiological alert in Tolima and that both families and students who receive instruction from the teacher who died, are in isolation and under observation by health agencies.
Similarly, it was announced the intensification of campaigns to control and epidemiological surveillance and was placed on alert to all hospitals of Tolima, to prevent the situation escalates, it was said so far is under control.
