OTTAWA ? Sunripe hazelnuts in Canada are being recalled following an E. coli outbreak in the United States, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency said Saturday.
The recall affects in-shell hazelnuts, also called filberts, and extends to mixed nuts containing the hazelnuts.
Some bulk products with the affected nuts may have been repackaged without proper labelling, the agency warned.
The products have been distributed in Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Ontario and possibly nationally...
