Santo Domingo, June 28 (Prensa Latina) today held a meeting the President of Haiti, René Préval, the head of the Dominican Republic Leonel Fernandez, to resume the bilateral joint commission, as the official sources.
This is his second visit to the Dominican Republic Preval less than a month. Previous stays were associated with participation in the World Summit for the reconstruction of Haiti.
Resumption of the bilateral commission was announced last year, before the earthquake on Jan. 12 that destroyed the capital and surrounding areas.

Earlier this month, Fernandez has sponsored an international summit, intended to raise the necessary funds for the reconstruction of Haiti.
