The H1N1 virus did not cause as many severe cases as feared, but more than 15,000 Canadians were admitted to hospital during the pandemic, a new report shows.

About 6,500 more people with lab-confirmed cases of H1N1 were hospitalized between April and December 2009 compared to the end of the previous year, according to the report released Tuesday by the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI)...
