H1N1-related death reported in Alexander County

ULLIN, IL (KFVS) - An Alexander County resident has died from complications related to the H1N1 influenza, according to a news release from the Southern Seven Health Department in Ullin.

The news release does not name the victim, but it indicates that the victim was an adult who had "other underlying medical conditions." No further information about the victim will be released due to privacy issues.

This death brings the total of H1N1-related deaths in Illinois to at least 13. Two were recently reported in Jackson and Williamson Counties.
