H1N1 Flu cases soar in Edmonton & area

The number of confirmed swine flu cases in Edmonton and area continues to soar while other areas of the province report little or no new cases.
Since Friday, Edmonton and area has 20-new confirmed cases of H1N1. This pushes the number of cases here to 93 and represents an almost one third increase in local cases in a matter of days.
Edmonton and area now has more cases of the new flu than all other parts of the Alberta combined. Health officials continue to say almost all cases of H1N1 in the province are mild.
They say the best way to avoid this flu is to frequently wash your hands or use an alcohol based hand sanitizer.
If you believe you have the H1N1 flu, stay home for up to a week. (em, ccg)
