Ramones Maidolis Servet / Maracaibo
The suspected case of H1N1 flu that emerged in Zulia with a patient's death on 19 November, was dismissed Tuesday by the National Institute of Hygiene Rafael Rangel.

The regional health secretary, Maria Moreno, said in Caracas applied studies determined that the patient had suffered from influenza type b.

"Fortunately we have no virus circulation in the state. This was a patient [aged] 34 who died in a private center of Maracaibo with symptoms similar to influenza virus A H1N1, but it was discarded. But we had already implemented security measures and preventive epidemiological fence, "said Moreno.

Edit: Zulia, not Punjab - odd translation artifact
