Re: H1N1 Death Toll Rises To Five

AUGUSTA (NEWS CENTER) -- The Maine CDC said two more people have died from the H1N1 flu virus.

We're told one was a resident of Hancock County between the ages of 25 and 50. The other lived in Kennebec County and was over the age of 65. Both of those people had underlying health issues. The H1N1 death toll in Maine is 5 since August.

In addition, the CDC reports that a long-term care facility in Kennebec County has a outbreak of H1N1. That facility is not being identified.

Dr. Dora Mills, the director of the Maine CDC said, "We are working with this facility to implement the same measures as we would with a seasonal flu outbreak, with the addition of antiviral medicines for all staff as well as residents."
