H1N1 death in Eau Claire County
Posted: Oct 27, 2009 2:20 PM EST

EAU CLAIRE (WKOW) -- Eau Claire County health officials confirm that an adult has died from complications of H1N1.

The patient, a middle-aged adult, had underlying chronic health conditions and died Friday.

The Eau Claire City-County Health Department says out of respect for the family and for patient confidentiality laws, it will not release the individual's gender, age, race or where he or she lived.

This marks the state's third H1N1 death since September.
