H1N1 concerns ease at St. John's care facility

CBC News

A long-term care facility in St. John's that was dealing with one confirmed case of H1N1 has lifted restrictions on visitors.

Eastern Health said people can resume visiting friends and family at the Hoyles-Escasoni Complex.

Visiting restrictions were put in place last week because of the swine flu case and flu-like symptoms among other elderly residents at the facility.

Restrictions have been lifted at the home, but Eastern Health said they remain in place at all acute care facilities in the region.
