On October 14, Health Minister S.Lambaa stated that five people are now on quarantine, in the National Center of Infectious Diseases Hospital after showing symptoms of H1N1 virus.

They are a 12-year-old girl, her older brother age 15, and their uncle and aunt. There are two more children are infected.

17 people with symptoms of a H1N1 virus infection have been registered in Ulaanbaatar city?s Bayanzurkh, Bayangol, Songinokhairkhan, Sukhbaatar districts,and in Ovorkhangai province?s Arvaikheer soum.

Laboratory tests have confirmed three people to be infected with the H1N1 virus. Ten people are waiting for the tests results and they have been isolated in the National Center of Infectious Disease Studies, in districts? hospitals and home.

Presently, measures are being taken to prevent the H1N1 virus, to stop the spread, and many controlling activities are being conducted nationwide.
