Amid the outbreak of HMPV virus in the state, H5N1 bird flu virus has also caused havoc in the zoo of Surat city in Gujarat. The H5N1 virus is spreading rapidly among the animals here, and many animals are getting sick. This new medical condition has created an atmosphere of concern. H5N1 is a subtype of avian influenza A, which is mainly transmitted in birds.
