AHMEDABAD : The deadly swine flu claimed two lives just within a span of one week.With the death of a 52-year-old woman on Saturday and a three-year-old boy on December 28, 2015, the H1N1 virus marked its presence in city .

The woman who died on Saturday , a resident of Nobelnagar area, had complained of high fever and cold on December 22. She went to a private doctor on December 28, and later was shifted to Apollo Hospital on December 29, said a statement from the health department of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC).


The patient was shifted to the Civil Hospital on December 31, where in she succumbed. Following her death, the authorities have given tamiflu, anti-swine flu tablets, to all six members of the deceased woman's family .
