Guip?zcoa recorded the sixth fatality from influenza A in Euskadi, a man belonging to a risk group
BILBAO, 10 Dec. (EUROPA PRESS) --
Guip?zcoa reported this week the sixth fatality from influenza A in Euskadi. This is a man belonging to one group of risks, according to sources with the Basque Department of Health.
The weekly report issued by the Ministry states that the weekly incidence rate affected by the H1N1 virus continues to decline, and stands at present, in 86.15 cases per 100,000 population.
The age group most affected is under 24 years, especially in a range between 5 and 14 years with a cumulative rate of over 20,000 cases per 100,000 population.
Currently, 25 people are hospitalized for influenza A, four in Alava, Vizcaya and nine in 12 in Guip?zcoa. Three of those affected remain in the Intensive Care Unit, one in each of the Basque provinces.
In the first three weeks of vaccination have received the medicine people of whom 72,456 were 1124 pregnant women.
