The Ministry of Health reported yesterday that last week seven people died from influenza A (H1N1), bringing to nine those killed by the evil in the country, reported that while the number of positive cases rose to 458.

Celso Cerezo, Health Minister explained that two of the deceased had HIV / AIDS, which hastened his death, because when you have this disease, any infection is fatal.

Another two of those killed came after six or seven days of having developed influenza A and died within 24 hours following his admission to a hospital.

As for the other three, did not give further explanation Cerezo. He commented that one of them died in a private hospital, so that portfolio did not have the closest relationship with that person.

Cherry explained that the seven deaths, three occurred in the Roosevelt Hospital, three in San Juan de Dios and one in Santa Rosa.

For the other two, still evaluating the circumstances, as the swabs were made after death.
Here to stay

On cases of confirmed infected with the virus A (H1N1), Health indicated that the number of confirmed cases rose to 458, of which 28 are in treatment.

"This is a disease that is here to stay," said Cherry, so he asked that people avoid the crowds and travel. He added that if they have symptoms like high fever, nausea and body ache, you should see a doctor.

The minister said that Argentina and reported 168 deaths and 16 in Costa Rica are killed.

"In other words, is a disease for which precautions must be taken," said Cerezo.
Vulnerable groups

The official cautioned that the most vulnerable are the elderly and people with HIV / AIDS, diabetes, hypertension and heart problems.

Requested that those who suffer from the disease control should be included because it is more difficult than becoming infected with influenza A (H1N1).

As for those who already suffer from this flu, recommended that no work or attend school. "The best thing is to have home isolation," said Cerezo.

The minister said they are prepared to give full treatment to 30 thousand people.

He also said that every day, including Saturdays and Sundays, the National Health Laboratory processed 30 tests, although at the Universidad del Valle in Guatemala make rapid tests.
