#Leptospirosis | 22 cases were recorded between September and October 2025 and 1 death was reported in 2025 (versus 3 in 2024).​

Good habits:
• Wear protective gear during outdoor cleaning operations (gloves, boots, etc.) and when going out onto agricultural land (crops, livestock, etc.);

• Always wash your hands (with drinking water and soap) after contact with an animal, water or mud that may be contaminated;

• Be especially vigilant if you have any cuts, wounds or any other skin problems;

• Engage in freshwater leisure activities (swimming, canoeing, kayaking, water hiking, trail running, etc.) in bathing areas regularly monitored by the ARS.

The disease can be asymptomatic or manifest itself like the flu: persistent fever, headaches, muscle pain, nausea, jaundice….
