Slithers - the trend is clear. The irregular spikes in the overall counts is due to the fact that I am not updating the data every day. Here is a list of the most recent dates (data points). Because of the small size of the graph the dates without associated data are not always obvious.

What's the link to the Wiki page? It seems to buried in the normal wiki stuff.
Is this data/graphs separated by hemisphere? Shouldn't the north be lower than the south, but catching up quickly?
Is someone doing this analysis with Gapminder somewhere - H1 deaths by air pollution index, asthma prevalence, poverty, etc?
