how much % of FT is stored at google ?
how much % from other forums and blogs ?
how many posts here can be found with google
by keyword search ?
what can I do so google will grasp my posts ?

are there other, better search-engines than google ?
which one are you using ? especially for flu-data

can we make our own search-engine ?
improved FT-search, including all the flu-forums and blogs
(even those who bash our boss)

flu-search.com, flu-archive.com

so, that not all our efforts here will be forgotten soon.

We're not so well organized

Re: google

A huge percent of the posts from FluTrackers are on google. This is an easy way to search the site.

Yes, we need to be better organized. We are trying.

I do not think there is one search engine for all the forums and blogs. And no we do not link to sites that bash us. It is counterproductive and not in a spirit of cooperation - no matter how public it is offered. If principles and/or moderators of a site bash us then, obviously, we are not going to link there.

In addition, we are a non-profit and we find some of the projects in direct conflict with our principles.

Re: google

you needn't link directly.
you can link to site containing a link
you can link to a site containing a link to a site containing the link
...

Re: google

instead a link,
gsgs can porge a second cheek to the bashers ... :)

sorry gsgs, a little smile in this cruel world ...

Re: google

mark the bashers , junior basher, senior basher ...
learn in time how to deal with them, you can't
avoid it in internet.
No vaccine against bashing, but a thick skin may help.
And if bashing is normal, is it still bashing ?
The definition of bashing seems also to evolve over time,
I never really understood what it is.
Couldn't even properly translate it. How is it called
in German ?

Bash is slang for insult = saying bad things about people. When Germans tell their children not to say bad things about people, do they have a word for that?

Re: google

"schlagen" is physical
"Angriff" can be controversy discussion

children are maybe "frech" impudent,cheeky,insulent,insulting,perkily,
ribald,saucily,sassy,barefaced,fresh

not necessarily negative.(but usually is understood as negative)

"unhöflich" = impolite
"rumstänkern" = trolling ? (no Trolls in Germany either, AFAIK)

gsgs,

to bash someone: jemanden schlecht machen, verletzen, (in beleidigender Weise) beschimpfen, verunglimpfen, verleumden, ?ber jemanden herziehen.

"basher": ~ "Schimpfmaul", Verleumder, Hetzer, Aufwiegler

instead of google try ixquick, "the world's most private search engine":

Re: google

Well, now that we have that (un)clearly defined, have we helped you gain a better understanding? :D

I never realized it was so difficult to translate parts of our language.

Re: google

ahh, well, I really did that sort of "bashing" here so they banned
me 10-20 times for it ?
