Description and Reviewers' Comments
The Good Samaritan legislation proposal aims to provide statutory protections for businesses and non-profit organizations that assist in governmental response efforts following a disaster. Examples of these protections may include reducing the liability of businesses that assist with stockpile distribution or churches that function as clinics or shelters. This proposal may be useful for public, private, and community-based agencies that need a concrete framework for drafting legislation in their jurisdictions.
Component Parts
Materials submitted for this project consist of electronic documents and web links, and combinations of both. If a component part appears to have more than one link, this is why: CIDRAP saved the documents and reviewed both documents and links when the practices were submitted for review. The external links included here may be duplicative to some of the stored files, but they may also be updated or provide additional useful information.
