Re: Girl, 7, dies of virus while on holiday in North Wales
A SEVEN-YEAR-OLD girl has died from a mystery virus, while on a family holiday at a caravan park.
The girl was struck down by illness during the early hours of Monday morning in a caravan park at Talybont, near Barmouth,
Gwynedd. The emergency services rushed to the scene and a helicopter from RAF Valley?s 22 Squadron airlifted the girl, who has not been named, alive but in a ?serious condition? to Ysbyty Gwynedd Bangor.
Tragically, despite the best efforts of emergency teams and medical staff, the girl died. She was believed to be from the Lancashire area.
?We had a report of a sudden death. The death is not being treated as suspicious. The coroner has been informed and a post mortem has been carried out (on Tuesday).?
