Swine flu dead in Saxony



In Saxony there is a first death associated with the swine flu. A 44-year-old man from the Vogtland died on Thursday evening after an infection with the H1N1 virus.

The patient was diagnosed with cough and shortness of breath and begin an outpatient basis and were later hospitalized. Pre-existing conditions or risk factors were affected by the previously unknown.

Thus, the number of officially reported deaths in Germany rose in connection with the swine flu to 14.

First fatality in Saxony

A 44-year-old man died from the effects of swine flu in Saxony. According to the Ministry of Health, the man had the H1N1 infection did not have pre-existing conditions.

In Saxony there has been a first death due to the swine flu. As the Health Ministry announced on Friday in Dresden, died in a 44-year-old man from the Vogtland region on Thursday evening after an infection with the H1N1 virus.

Pre-existing conditions or risk factors are not known to the person concerned, it was said.

The patient had a cough and shortness of breath and had been treated as an out-patient in hospital.

In Saxony, the number of confirmed cases of swine flu, according to the ministry has grown to nearly 1600 . Thus, the number of cases within a week nearly doubled.
