Germany: No new H1N1-cases within the last 5 days (total 14)

The German institute for the surveillance of infectious diseases, Robert Koch Institut (RKI), stated on May 20, 2009 , that there have been no new cases in Germany since the 15th of May 2009. The total number of confirmed cases is 14.
RKI notes, that worldwide the numbers of confirmed and fatal cases are rising.
Therefore it is expected, that there will be more cases in Germany, too. The situation in Germany seems to be stabilized at the moment but it is necessary to stay on alert.

Epidemiologic areas of risk for new Influenza A (H1N1) especially are Mexico, USA, Canada und Panama (RKI on May 19, 2009).
