The areas under veterinary restrictions have been established. Poultry from three non-commercial holdings situated in a 1-km radius around the infected holding were pre-emptively culled and the carcasses safely disposed of on 27 July 2015. Epidemiological investigations have been initiated immediately. According to current knowledge no poultry or poultry meat has been dispatched to other L?nder, EU Member States or to third countries. There are no new outbreaks in this report
...
All poultry of the affected holding has been culled and safely disposed of on 26 July 2015. Cleaning and disinfection have been completed on 29 July 2015. The national reference laboratory, Friedrich-Loeffler Institute (FLI), performed sequencing of the AIV genome and investigated the relationship to other H7N7 viruses. The results indicate a close homology to low pathogenic H7N7 viruses which have been circulating in Europe for some time. The emergence of this single outbreak can be attributed to spontaneous mutation from LPAI H7N7. There have been no further outbreaks and all regional restrictions were lifted on 3 September 2015.
