I just posted an article about Tamiflu in short supply in South Carolina and other posts note the same problem in TX, MI and IN. I'm sure that some of the shortage can be explained by the early surge in flu cases. But in an article posted by Shiloh in the MI sub-forum, Genentech says that there is a delay.
"Genentech, the maker of Tamiflu, is experiencing a temporary delay in new shipments of Tamiflu Oral Suspension, the liquid form of the medication, said Terry Hurley, spokesman for the San Francisco-based company. However, he said there is a sufficient supply of the 75-milligram, 45-milligram and 30-milligram capsules."
I'm seeing this, or similar statements, in multiple other news reports in other states. So now I'm wondering if the shortage is just for the oral suspension products, or if it's all forms of Tamiflu. It might be helpful to try to find more instances where shortages are being reported, and hopefully more specifics on which forms are in short supply.
