Jefferson County, GA (WJBF) ? On Friday, February 26th tuberculosis (TB) screening was conducted at Louisville Academy on individuals that were identified for possibly having had contact with two TB ?suspects? at the school.
The initial contact investigations that resulted in TB screening of those that were tested shows that, of the 154 contacts screened, 12 contacts were identified for TB exposure and have been referred for further evaluation. Health officials say that this only means that they were exposed, not that they have active TB. No additional active TB cases have been detected...
