Flu claims six lives in Greater Atlanta region

The death toll in the Greater Atlanta area from the flu epidemic has climbed to six.
In a report dated Feb. 1, the Georgia Department of Public Health said two elderly women died of complications from influenza. One died during the week of Dec. 30 in Oconee County, the other the week of Jan. 6 in Hart County.
The total number of hospitalizations for influenza this season is now 716...
