Derek Torres
TORRES Derek Torres, formerly of Crete, passed away from the H1N1 virus on October 27th, in Paris, France, where he was living with his wife, Celine; sons, Pablo (8), Victor-Emmanuel (5); and daughter, Anne-Claire (8 months). He is survived by his mother, Donna (Rudy-passed away in 2006); and his brother, Joshua who resides in Indianapolis with his wife, Audrey. A funeral service was held in Paris on November 7th, at the Pere Lachaise Cemetery. Derek's remains have been returned to the U.S. He will be interred with his father at Skyline Memorial Gardens in Monee on December 19th at 10:00 a.m. during a ceremony for family and close friends. A memorial service will follow at the chapel at Marian Catholic Catholic High School at 11:00 a.m., open to all who wish to remember Derek. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Rudy Torres memorial fund for Derek's children.
