French Polynesian Covid cases continue to rise as another person dies

French Polynesia has recorded a further 338 Covid-19 cases and another fatality, bringing the death toll to 39.
87 people with Covid-19 symptoms are in hospital, including 25 in intensive care.
All but 62 of the 9287 cases were detected after the borders were reopened in July and mandatory quarantine requirements were abolished to boost tourism.
A curfew is in place to try to curb the spread of the virus, but unlike in France, there is no lockdown.
Authorities have said they will only implement such a move if the hospitals get full and equipment and assistances is expected to arrive from France...
